New Replacement Dwelling.
Matischok & Ross were instructed by a private client to gain planning permission for the demolition of an existing dilapidated farmhouse in the open countryside and design and obtain planning and building regulations approval for a new proposed replacement dwelling. The approved design consisted of a contemporary style country house with full height glazing throughout to take advantage of the stunning views from its elevated position. It features state of the art ground source heating and hot water and electric provided by solar and photovoltaic panels. The dwelling features an innovative layout with a large double height entrance hall and glass staircase to create a ‘grand designs’ feel. Matischok & Ross also designed and gained approval for a detached leisure/entertainment building with bi-folding doors throughout to create an ‘al fresco’ dining area.
